We are looking for a Automation Crew Lead to work with a multi-disciplinary project team to execute the scope for robotics deployment projects.
As an Automation Crew Lead, you will be working within a 24x7 warehouse/ logistics environment deploying robots, mobile shelving units, workstations, and other related tasks. Working on varying sizes of projects reporting into either a Project Manager or a Senior Site Lead, usually leading small teams of employees or agency workers to complete tasks within their area of skill and expertise. You will operate largely autonomously in your role.
· Planning, scheduling, assigning work, and ensuring that activities comply with company policies and procedures, codes, and regulations.
Assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical assemblies.
Recording technical tests and performance validation data in data capture system.
Performing tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
Communicating technical problems and working with other team members, as required to solve them.
Providing coaching to others in areas of proven competence.
Ensuring that all RUIBOTICS, Client and General Contractor health, safety and environmental policies and processes are complied with and that the health and safety of the entire team as well as visitors to the site is prioritised.
Identifying, analysing, and reporting product performance and quality issues.
Managing Work in Progress (WIP) materials and project related documentation in an orderly fashion.
Completing quality documentation.
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Maintaining an ordering supplies and tools.
Responsible for training, coaching, and developing team members; including performance management and evaluation.
· As required, provide technical direction and coordinating the activities of less experienced staff, keeping accurate and complete records of those activities.
· Preparing and presenting manufacturing KPI reports.
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking
Lifting and movement of parts and tools requiring bending and carrying, within the safe limits dictated by relevant country’s legislation.
Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
Working conditions may include dust, fumes/odours, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
Skills and Experience required:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant vocational qualification required, preferably in engineering (Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical engineering)
3+ years minimum in managing complex projects; ideally this would be in the engineering, construction, logistics or e-commerce sectors.
Strong relevant knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, organisation, planning, teamwork, interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills required.
Must possess strong people skills, with the ability and experience to motivate and influence teams and deliver through others nurturing a high-performance culture.
Must be a driven, self-motivated individual, able to be resilient, dynamic and deliver under pressure.
Good knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in commercial buildouts.
Good knowledge of assembly, power up and verification of automated warehouse systems.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook, Microsoft Project knowledge as user, Cloud based databases user and management skills, AutoCAD Viewer and AutoCAD basic skills.
Fluent spoken and written English, additional language is a plus.
Must possess the right to work in the country of employment & across the EEA; be willing and able to travel up to 90%.
Possess a valid European driving licence.
